Summer Reading Parents, you can download your child's summer reading assignment here: MUCH ADO & Integrating the Arts
“Of all the arts, drama is a collective experiencing, celebrating, or commenting, not on how we are different from each other, but on what we share, on ways we are alike…Drama is not self-expression; It is a form of group symbolism seeking universal, not individual truths.” ~Gavin Bolton |
Over the last several months, the Upper School studied, rehearsed and produced Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare, a work that culminated in a final performance for the Lower School, family and friends on May 14 and 15. This unit challenged and stretched our students beyond anything they had ever experienced before. It is easy to see how the theater arts can and do contribute to making our lessons more effective in developing cognitive thinking in the minds of our students.
