We need your help!
In a recent publication entitled, From My Heart to Yours February 2005, the President of Association of Christian Schools, Int., Ken Smitherman, reported that research he had done revealed that the average annual cost to educate a public school student is $8,000, without capital expenditures. He asserts that the real cost of educating a child in a Christian school is really no less. His question then is, Who is paying the real cost?
Parents make a great sacrifice to fulfill their responsibility to ?raise their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord?. However, there remains a large gap between tuition revenues and operational costs in a Christian school. And so, the question is, Who or what is closing the gap?
For many Christian schools, GSS included, that gap is artificially closed by teachers and staff who pay a large share through low compensation, and yet that sacrifice still does not cover the deficit between tuition and real costs. A high amount of the annual budget remains to be raised through gifts, contributions, and fundraising. We invite you to partner with us in the privilege of the educational and discipleship ministry of Good Shepherd School by making a gift of an item listed on our Needs List; making a financial contribution as listed on our Charitable Giving or by supporting us in one or more of our listed Fundraising Activities.
